Message:I am in possession of 3 silk racing programs from the Crescent City Jockey Club dated 1899. Mint cond, framed and sealed. I know a collector, or museum would find these interesting. Have only found a photo of one of these programs at the NO library. Just thought I'd put this out there for anyone who's interested in the heritage. Thanks,

Flint Flash was a Louisiana bred who ran 3rd in the Crescent City Derby in '76. There was a jockey named Roger Cox who roe back then who was probably the jockey you're thinking of. Flint Flash must've gotten claimed as his later races were run in penmnsylvania and was owned and trained by a Samuel Webb.

I'd like to know where the racetrack was located in City Park.
